A Brief History BMW X5

The BMW X5 is beautifully designed, luxury mid-size sport utility vehicles (SUVs), introduced in 1999, the first generation with the E53. It is the first SUV ever in the BMW family and with a four wheel drive, so that each of the wheels to receive torque from the engine simultaneously. And, as always, it is available in automatic and manual transmissions. The second generation of the X5, known as the E70, was launched in 2006, with the impressive M version was announced in 2009. It replaced the first generation E53 was produced at BMW plant in Greer, South Carolina, USA and Toluca, Mexico.

BMW X5 has described as a Sports Activity Vehicle, as opposed to a sports utility vehicle back to the maneuverability and handling, despite the large amount of light. For petrol and E70 3.0si, the horsepower of the 272 with a speed of 6600 and 200 kW, and the top speed of 225 km / h. And 3.0sd for diesel, the horsepower of the 286 with a speed of 4400 and 210kW, and has a top speed of 235 km / h. And this new model E70 has a longer wheelbase, and it consists of a new breed of V8 3.0L 6-cylinder engines for both petrol and diesel and 4.8l V8 diesel.

And E70, the second generation of the BMW series features many new technological developments for this class, with additions and standard equipment, including I-Drive system, electronic circuit (no mechanical linkage to the gearbox), LED taillights, the first ever All polypropylene, an efficient module and a variety of options, such as HUD, active steering, active damping, drag, and Dynamic Drive which uses active anti-roll bars in the middle to actively counteract body roll.

The interior of the new generation is impressive and very different from the E53. It is equipped with an annoyingly large centrally mounted screen in E70 including many comfort options to passengers, such as a panoramic glass roof, a first for BMW, an optional third row that the number of seats in the E70 has risen to seven passengers, etc.
